1. Overview

This cookie policy (“Cookie Policy”) explains: 1) what Automatic Tracking Technologies (defined below) are, including cookies; 2) how we use Automatic Tracking Technologies; and 3) how you can manage Automatic Tracking Technologies. For more information on our data processing practices please see our Privacy Notice or if you are a resident within the European Union, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please see this EU Privacy Notice. Any term used but not defined herein has the meaning set forth in the Privacy Notice.

2. What are Automatic Tracking Technologies?

As you navigate through and interact with our Digital Assets, we, our service providers, or other third parties may use cookies, log files, pixels tags, and other client-side or server-side automatic data tracking technologies (“Automatic Tracking Technologies”) to collect certain data. Similarly, we may also use software development kits (SDKs) to collect data about you.

The Automatic Tracking Technologies we may use include the following:

(a) Cookies (or browser cookies). Cookies are small text files that are used to store small pieces of data. They are stored on your computer or mobile device (“device”) when a website that contains a cookie is loaded on your browser.

(b) Flash Cookies. Certain features may use locally stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store data about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on a website. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies.

(c) Log Files. Log files are software-generated files containing data about the operations, activities, and usage patterns of an application, server, or IT system, such as what was done and at what time.

(d) SDKs. A Software Development Kit or “SDK” represents a consolidated package of pre-existing code, enhancement tools, and guidance documents that can be installed and used to develop applications for a particular website.

(e) Web Beacons. Web beacons are contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or for other related Digital Assets statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain Digital Assets content and verifying system and server integrity).

2.1 Types of Automatic Tracking Technologies

An Automatic Tracking Technologies that is created by the domain (i.e. website) that you are on is a first-party Automatic Tracking Technologies. The data a first-party Automatic Tracking Technologies collects/stores is only accessible to the creator (i.e. website). Third-party Automatic Tracking Technologies are created by domains (i.e. website) separate from the website being visited. Therefore, the data a third-party Automatic Tracking Technologies collects/stores is accessible by a third-party (i.e. someone other than the website you are currently visiting). Automatic Tracking Technologies can also be used to establish anonymized statistics about the browsing experience on a website.

2.2 Duration of Automatic Tracking Technologies

A Automatic Tracking Technologies may have a “session” only duration or “persistent” duration. When an Automatic Tracking Technologies has a duration for a “session” they only exist during one session and disappear when you close your browser, restart, or turn off your device. When a Automatic Tracking Technologies has a “persistent” duration they remain on your device after you close your browser, restart, or turn off your device.

2.3 Types of Automatic Tracking Technologies

These Automatic Tracking Technologies are required to enable the basic features of the Digital Assets, such as providing secure log-in, adjusting your consent preferences, or providing visual elements. These types of Automatic Tracking Technologies do not require your consent.

(b) Preference (Functional) Automatic Tracking Technologies. These Automatic Tracking Technologies help perform certain functionalities like sharing the content of the Digital Assets on social media platforms and allow for a higher personalization of the Digital Assets such as remembering choices you have made in the past, like what language you prefer or your username and password.

(c) Statistics (Performance) Automatic Tracking Technologies. These Automatic Tracking Technologies provide quantitative measurements regarding our Digital Assets such as the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source and are used for purposes such as troubleshooting and analytics.

(d) Marketing (Targeted Ad) Automatic Tracking Technologies. These Automatic Tracking Technologies track your online activity to help advertisers deliver more relevant advertising or to limit how many times you see an ad. These Automatic Tracking Technologies can share that information with other organizations or advertisers.
